Nothing All That Special 2

YUI's music is basically simply happy girl soft rock, and that's about all you'll get with this. Her voice isn't all that special or unique to my ears from the majority of most basic JPOP, and neither is her music. I tired of her voice and music very quickly. I need something that really stands out from the crowd, and this is something she fails to do on every track. I will however say she is quite good on an acoustic guitar. Maybe she should go try playing it as a career option instead...

Good combination of songs 5

I did not immediately like all of the songs in this album. Goodbye Days is the song that made me buy this album. It takes some getting use to before I can really appreciate it. But once I'm hooked, I wonder why I did not like the other songs earlier.

Magnificient successor to From Me To You 5

Definitely one of the best albums I've ever heard. YUI is an extremely skilled musician, and this CD is an excellent proof. Of her singing and lyrics writing skills. All in all, an excellent cd, that I highly recommend. Definitely deserved the #1 in the Oricon Charts

Nice!! 4

Balanced between pop and rock. Here's an handful of good rock songs, some energetic (Rolling Star: great!), some sunny (It's allright) and some more sweet... Perfect when you're driving or riding your bike.

YUI Does it Again 5

YUI's sophomore album delivers again, albeit less so than her first album. YUI's signature voice leads the way again, this time with a slightly more diverse selection of musical styles represented. It's good to see that popularity has done no damage to YUI's sound. Fans of YUI will surely enjoy this CD, but it is also a fine place for newcomers to enter into YUI's music, especially if they really dig one of the singles inluded, all of which are rather good.

Another great release! 5

Here we have another great release from YUI. I get the feeling that this album is a bit more rockish than "From Me To You", or maybe it's just Rolling Star playing tricks on my mind. Anyway, as always, YUI's voice is beautiful and so is her songwriting. Almost no filler tracks here either which in my opinion is a very good thing. Favourites from this album includes How Crazy, Rolling Star and CHE.R.RY

Can't Buy My Love 5

Do not be deceived by her angelic appearance. Power pop-rock is the preferred choice for Yui, a popular Japanese singer-songwriter, who is still shy of 21 and likes her music loud. After winning a Sony Music talent quest and sparking a bidding war in 2004, she signed with Sony and released a higely successful debut album last year titled 'From Me To You'. Her recent sophomore offering, 'Can't Buy My Love', feels like a continuation of its predecessor - which is not necessarily a bad thing. Yui is known for fresh and original-sounding licks and hooks, and these winning qualities continue to shine through on Album No. 2.

A Mixed-Bag of Similar Sounds 3

I bought this album for CHE.R.RY and CHE.R.RY is what I got. The other tracks are competent enough, with good instrumental support and YUI's charming vocals, but none make a particularly strong impression on me. For cheerful girl soft rock, it's a great addition to a collection, but it's not something that really stands out from the crowd.
