The UNIVERSE album is honestly among my favorites. It has a good mix of great singles like the rock "Can We Go Back", the sexy songs "Physical thing" and "ECSTACY" and the cute "Lick me". There's many other great tracks on here too. One personal favorite, "You're So Beautiful" is a classic up-tempo ballad that I often enjoy repeating a couple times before allowing the album to move onto the next track. The MVs are also fantastic as well. Only down point with them is simply that the MV for the song "Alive" wasn't included. The booklets are lovely as well. Many great pictures of Kumi and the lyrics are all laid out well. The only reason for not giving this release 5 Stars is simply the BEST album included. It's got some great songs, but it's forgettable as a disk of its own. It was unnecessary to include it packaged together with the UNIVERSE studio album. Definitely do recommend checking out Kumi Koda's UNIVERSE and even just her entire discography. An absolute amazing artist and performer.

The album has kuu-chan once again surpassed itself. The first plus for this are 2 albums in one. The first cd with the best of album you have to say much, great compilation. This is topped only by the UNIVERSE Cd, starting with the brilliant intro. This time, the sequence of the songs is better than in past albums. Each song is fluent in other than without it sounds choppy. The only weak track on the cd is the song "It's all Love!" Misono with which it could have omitted. An absolute must buy for all J-pop fans and for all KK fans anyway. :))
And once again, she made me speechless. The only word I can say: Perfect. I really love EVERY Song from this Album. I can listen to it all the time, it doesn't bore me. It's really her best Album! And the idea with the Cover is funny. I really recommend this Album! Kuu is simply the best!
Ive been a koda Kumi Fan for a while now and for someone to say avex is forcing her on people kinda makes me a little mad. The reason why shes doing her best of album with universe is because its her 10th anniversary Personally. I think it was a smart move its going to sell alot just like trick did, and for someone whos sales are going down? she seems to be doing great. a single around every 1-3 months amazing albums and fantastic live tours? Does anyone else realize how her tours are always sold out? shes doing great and i love how she can do songs from hot stuff to lick me! its amazing shes going to be around for a longgg time so better get used to it =D BUT this album is going to be great cant wait to get my copy!
Good to see Kumi is coming out with something new for 2010. The Best Album thing is kind of strange but thats how avex does business and they seem to do this with all their artists. To the person who said that Avex was trying to force Kumi onto people. I just want to say that she has been around for 10 years now and with the way artists come and go in Japan she should be long gone by now if no one liked her. Besides her sales going down is not a trend with her music alone but of the whole industry as a whole. Her last 6 releases have all reached #1 in their first week which is the longest streak of her career. Also her album Trick outsold her competition's 2009 offerings i.e. Boa, Ayumi, Otsuka Ai. So much for forcing her onto people. But I guess when people want to hate for no reason they will try to make up stuff just to justify their hate.
I hate the way how they gonna release a new album :( I could understand if "Best 3" would be a bonus CD for 2CD+DVD version but not that new album "UNIVERSE" will be just kind of bonus to BEST! I think it's just to sell more CDs... They'll probably release "UNIVERSE" only version some time after release of best.
Seriously? Is Avex going crazy? ANOTHER best-of album? She released one in 2005. And one in 2006. A love-song best of in 2007. And in 2009 she has already released one album compiling all of her collaborations and one with all remixes. And now ANOTHER best-of? Must have something to do with her strongly dropping sales. That's what you get when you force someone on the public, Avex.
