My only words for that DVD is: WOW! Kumi has a wonderful voice. And the show is fabolous. I really love that DVD. When it arrived, I just did it in the DVD Player and began to watch. First it begins with the OPENING MOVIE, it's beautiful. The first Song is "Under". I love how she begins it, it's mystical. The whole Concert is wonderful. The "Song Menu" is very cool, and when I saw the fans sitting next to Kumi, I wanted to be one of them :) And then, to the end, she sings "walk". It's so emotional. I love that song, it's a great ending. So, i have to give 5/5, if there would be more, I would give them all. Kumi is the best singer ever!
Kumi Koda Live Tour 2008 -Kingdom- Customer Reviews
Kumi Koda
To be honest, my "Kuu fever" had died down in 2008. I felt very out of tune with her. I remember being very anxious for her though, after what happened with the whole controversy. After I gave this DVD, my interest in her was immediately restored. A stunning performance to say the least, showcasing all three sides of Kuu in three segments of the show. I particularly enjoyed the opening to this concert. My heart was racing to see what would happen, and I did not at all expect her to just come out the way she did; a flashy entrance that only someone of Kuu's caliber could pull off. Her voice was near flawless for this show, especially during the ballad segment, where I thought her vocal prowess shone the most. Ai no Uta's performance sent chills down my spine, as did the subsequent hands. The funnest portion of this show had to have been at the end. Wonderland was a very refreshing way of kicking things off and as always, Kuu is very daring with her shows. It's so refreshing to see her do all these kinds of stunts in the air. Other notable performances I particularly enjoyed were anytime and girls. And as always, she closed out with walk, which is not something I mind at all. It's always nice to see her performing such an oldies song. Moon Crying was a nice added bonus too, seeing as this tour was before the release date of Moon Crying or close to it. Overall this was easily one of her most visually and audibly stunning concerts that no person calling themselves Kuu fans should miss.
In my very personal opinion, and just as I thought, "LAST ANGEL" sounds quite better without DBSK, THSK or however you want to call them. But the costumes disappointed me and the first scene's kind of satanic, hahahaha, but it's quite good. Her performances are as excellent as always, that's why I love Kumi's lives. The extras are so good, you'll want to watch them over and over again. She's really funny and I loved the closer contact she had in this tour to her fans. Can't miss this one! Oh, BTW, the sleeve was really cool
Este live tour es buenisimo aunque me gusto mas el anterior (Black Cherry Tour) pero este es muy bueno tambien, se los recomiendo a todos!!
Well, after the january incident this is the best Kumi could do. The live is excellent from the musical point, excellent in the choreography and excellent with the fans. Kuu-chan treats them with respect after her mistake, being gentle in the song-menu (a very sweet scene) and being more natural during all the live. She jumps, dances, climbs... in a mature way, as an adult. Her make-up is simplier, her dresses do not show her sexy face as in other Tours. This is the best she could do in such a time, and is one of the bests she has done. Not better than BCT (it was the greatest), but a must-have without doubt, and after all. Now, looking for the Trick Tour!!
I loved the "Black Cherry" tour DVD, but I didn't like this concert at all. Pre-ordered it but only managed to watch it through all the way today (2 months later). Kingdom album is a good album but the concert is just plain boring. The reason might be that this concert consist heavily out of Kuchan's ballad songs which I mostly dislike. And the performances also miss all the oomph in her songs. Opens with Under and FREAKY which are great songs but the performance here is not nearly up to a par. Oh well, atleast the pre-encore video was funny-ish and they do pick up some missed potential in the DANCE BATTLE.
I loved the Kingdom tour! The plot was great and the costumes were beautiful!!! I loved the fact that you could watch all of the special invitations. It was halarious when Kumi had a kid on the stage who picked Koi no Tsubomi and the kid forgot the lyrics. Kumi started the song stopped it and had the girl try to sing it again. My favorite part was that it said "to be continued" at the end.
LOVED THE PERFORMANCE!!! loved it! she blows me away everytime! she makes it so fun and interesting! you don't get bored at all! you wish that you were in the concert! can't wait for the next concert Kuu-Chan. i love you!
Another amazing show by Koda Kumi! Kuu-chan never fails to deliver a wonderful live performance with all her energy and talent. This live will capture you from start to finish, showing Kuu-chan's "cool", "beautiful", and "cute" sides, it's filled with great vocals and some very funny surprises. The backstage featured in the second disc lets you see all the hard work put by Kuu-chan and all her staff into making this live, it is a very rewarding experience. Also, the "Song Menu" Digest lets you see Kuu-chan performing the rest of the songs in the Song Menu, taken from other live tour dates. Even if you've seen the TV version of this show, you will not regret buying this DVD. The full concert truly shines!
I received the DVD today. Wow ! What a performance. Goosebumps all the time. In the end I had to cry ! Next year, I HAVE to see Kumi Koda LIVE in Japan.
