SHA-BOOM, which emerged in the late 1980s and helped shape Scandinavian melodic hard rock, makes a spectacular return after 20 years. SHA-BOOM was formed in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1987. The band made a striking debut on major label WEA in 1988 with the album "R.O.C.K." and achieved great success. Through its second album, "Let's Party," released in 1990, the band showed momentum rivaling leading acts of the time such as EUROPE, TREAT, and STAGE DOLLS. However, the rise of grunge / alternative rock in the early 1990s caused the band to scale back its activities and eventually fall silent. Following the release of a best-of album in 2002, the band released its third album, "The Race Is On," in 2005, centered on founder Dag Finn (Vo) and featuring an impressive lineup of guests including Tommy Denander and Kee Marcello. Although the band's music continued to be loved by fans for many years, Dag Finn finally returned with a new SHA-BOOM album after 20 years. This album was produced and mixed by Erik Martensson of ECLIPSE, a key figure in today's Scandinavian melodic rock scene. He also contributes guitar and bass as a member, playing a major role in the band's revival. Beginning with the advance single and opening track "Never Stop," the entire album bursts with irresistibly melodic, 80s-style arena rock. Dag himself says enthusiastically, "This album perfectly blends melodic elements with the energy of stadium rock. Let's keep rocking!" It is nothing less than a full-scale comeback declaration. Longtime friend and previous guest Thomas Vikstrom of CANDLEMASS and THERION, among others, and his daughter Linnea Vikstrom, also known for her recent work with THUNDERMOTHER, make guest appearances on backing vocals. Includes a bonus track for the Japanese edition. This triumphant comeback album is finally released for Scandinavian melodic rock fans. Includes lyrics and Japanese translations, plus an interview with Dag Finn (Vo).
