Like Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction," Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's film consists of three interlinked stories, but the rest of the film is amazingly original. Excellent production design by Brigitte Broch ("Romeo + Juliet," "Moulin Rouge").
