This is my first Houkodou squirrel powder brush and I intend on purchasing more. I am such a fan of large squirrel hair powder brushes and have quite a few (Z-1, Z-9, Koyudo white Canadian squirrel, a few MK brushes and more). The length is lovely as it lends to the brushes ability to feel airy yet dense enough. The bristles are nicely packed and the amount of bristles feels significant for the size of the brush. I appreciate the domed shaped and the shorter handle doesn’t feel awkward. So far I have used it for dusting on finishing powder and blending in products to complete my makeup looks.

Perhaps one of the most functional squirrel brushes on the market. Densely packed, soft to touch. It has more blending ability than the paddle squirrel brush I bought from Eihodo outlet (NO.833 Powder Brush). And the density of hair provides the bristles some elasticity to work with pigment powders. The finish of blush is beautiful. I usually don't like a domed brush but this one is nice. Bristles less densely packed or a little bit longer may not be so useful. I like the gold and black design. It's classic.
