The MK-2 is not just a gorgeous work of art, but it also functions so beautifully as a powder brush. Once I start using it, I can't seem to put it down because of how soft it is. Works well with both pressed and loose powders!

My tracking shows the package had been returned to CD Japan 10 days ago (it has been 2 months since I placed the order). Cd Japan refuses to issue refund. I am never placing an order with this store again.

The handle design is an exquisite work of art! The squirrel hair of this brush is so soft and flawless. I use this brush to deposit finishing powder (not setting), specifically the Guerlain meteorites - in both loose and pressed forms! It is more loosely packed than the Z-1 but different enough to justify having both in my opinion! As it takes up more surface area on the face; it makes it more efficient for finishing powder. Cdjapan rewards system is great too, i wish rewards came out more often!

The mk-2 is the prettiest brush ive ever seen the maki-e print is simply beautiful. It's super soft, its never shed any hairs and i find that its works perfectly as a blending/finishing brush. I highly recommend.

Well well, this brush is so famous that I think I do not need to rave a lot about it. I was really seduced when first seeing its handle. The Maki-e technique of sakura blossom is very charming. The hair is as soft as touching a baby's skin. The only disadvantage is that it is suitable for people with normal to dry skin than others with oily skin.

I'm completely blown away by this brush! This is the softest and silkiest brush I've ever experienced. It's beautifully crafted and truly a work of art. I've tried and tested similar brushes in other well known brands but this by far, exceeds them all. Functionally, it works like a dream. I normally set my foundation with powder and this brush's execution is on point - flawless and airbrushed. The handle provides just the right weight distribution which makes handling effortless. I'm really happy with my purchase and this is truly an investment piece. :)

This brush is not only aesthetically good looking but also performs its duty very well. The bristle are made from grey squirrel hair, which is very soft but not as delicate as blue squirrel. The handle is beyond gorgeous. Owning this brush is a great pleasure for any Japanese makeup brush lover.

This brush is ever so soft. The squirrel hairs feel like a light caress all over your face. The brush is pure artistry as is the Makie-1. The design on the handle is beautiful and makes the brush both a pleasure to look at and use. Love it!

This is the most beautiful brush - the handle is a true work of art. But, it's also a very good brush too- the bristles are incredibly soft, making this an ideal brush to fluff on loose powder. CD Japan also sells a inexpensive clear brush holder - I suggest getting one because this brush fits perfectly inside, and then you can admire the beautiful maki-e.

Such a soft brush and really does the job. This brush applies the perfect amount of powder and doesn't irritate the skin whenever using it. The makie print on the brush is beautiful and adds to the luxuriousness of the brush. The only con about this brush is that it does take a while to dry after washing it (~24 hours).

I've been wanting this brush for years. I finally decided to go for it, and I'm so glad I did! The hair is dense and luxuriously soft, the brush overall is weighted nicely, and the design makes it almost too beautiful to use (though I won't let that stop me!).
