Tenugui is unique Japanese dyed cloth, originally hand towel. Can be used as home decoration, table runner, wrapping, sewing material, etc. In the Edo period, there were various ways to wear Tenugui as head covering depending on one's occupation and the situation. Tenugui is made from cotton and has traditionally been used as a hand towel or head covering.
