Customer Reviews
I love this mini-album! Really great! The Tenimyu songs are nice but the Kazuki songs are even nicer! "Flaming-ice" is pop-rock while "Solitaire" is a ballad!
If you were yoi'd by his bigi in the 'Tennis no Oujisama' musical, then this CD is certainly for you. It contains the best songs (both Atobe, and Hyotei-centric) from the musical, and with some instrumentals and new tracks. Kazuki's voice is very rich and resonant, and perfectly suited to the role, but my only complaint would be that the studio production of some of the musical tracks (Koori no Emperor, and Oresama no Bigi ni Bugi Wugi especially) make them a little lackluster; they lose some of the atmosphere and oomph that they had in the live. If you're not a fan of instrumental tracks, either, then this CD has a fair share of fillers, but the atmosphere invoked by them is wonderful, especially the very striking 'Atobe vs. Tezuka' piece. As far as the original songs go, they make a wonderful addition to a very good CD; Solitaire is a very pretty ballad, while Higher! and Flaming Ice are more up-tempo and rocky. Overall, a great CD, and a welcome addition to any Atobe, or Kazuki fan's collection.
