The immensely popular "My Happy Marriage" series, which has surpassed ten million copies in circulation, is set to return with a long-awaited TV anime Special Edition, now confirmed for broadcast! Volume 1 is released on DVD. The series is based on the novel "My Happy Marriage," written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka, published under the Fujimi L Bunko label since 2019. Takehiro Kubota, who has worked across a wide range of genres including anime and music video production and is known for his distinctive perspective in works including "GLOOMY THE NAUGHTY GRIZZLY" as director and "ID: INVADED" as assistant director, returns from Season 1 as director and series composer. Shoko Yasuda, character designer for "Wasteful Days of High School Girls," also returns, joined by Hikaru Sato and Kuniyuki Ito. Kinema Citrus, the studio behind "Made in Abyss" and "The Rising of the Shield Hero" series, once again handles animation production. The distinguished cast also returns, including Reina Ueda as Miyo Saimori, Kaito Ishikawa as Kiyoka Kudo, Ryohei Kimura, Hiro Shimono, and Akira Ishida. M.A.O, known as Iris in the "Fire Force" series and Shion in the "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" series, plays Kimio Nagaba, Miyo's elementary-school classmate who holds the key to this story. A major incident that shook the very foundations of the nation was caused by the Gifted Communion led by Naoshi Usui, once a prospective fiance for Miyo's mother, Sumi. The conflict, which hurt many people, came to an end when Miyo awakened as the Maiden of Dream-Sight. Although a terrifying conspiracy once separated them, Miyo and Kiyoka continued to believe in each other and were finally reunited. Each then made a choice to protect their peaceful life.
