*Non Japan-made disc. This work is the seventh solo album titled after the Wardenclyffe Tower, constructed on the strait-side coast of Long Island to transmit electrical energy without using power transmission lines. It is produced by the regular rhythm section of Jimmy Johnson (b) and Chad Wackerman (ds), touring member Steve Hunt (kbds), long-time associates Gordon Beck (kbds) and Gary Husband (ds), Vinnie Colaiuta (ds) who participated in the previous work, and Naomi Star (vo). As the fourth work introducing the SynthAxe, Allan flexibly and effectively wields this ultimate guitar synth, making it completely his own instrument along with the guitar. He also uses a baritone guitar built by Bill DeLap, one of the leading custom guitar builders. It includes pieces that allow listeners to fully enjoy Allan's style, such as "5 To 10" with its theme introduction using unique chord progressions, and the title track "Wardenclyffe Tower", one of the best tracks with a progressive rock flavor and an excellent solo by Gary Husband, who is also well-regarded as a keyboard player. It also shows glimpses of a new age music-like aspect with multi-layered recording. Three Japan live takes are added as bonus tracks. Japan domestic specifications for imported discs. E-type single limited cardboard sleeve with liner notes.
