サウンドアーティスト、コンポーザーとして、数々の楽曲制作や劇伴を手がけ、ソロとしては音楽性によってFourColor、Vegpher、Keiichi Sugimotoと名義を使い分け、音楽レーベルのcubic musicを主宰する (2019年で創立20周年)等、様々な作品や活動によって日本のポストロックやエレクトロニカの黎明期よりワールドワイドに評価され、21世紀以降の日本における電子音楽シーンを開拓し、発展させて来た杉本佳一。彼の活動な中でも最もポップ・フィールドにアプローチしているのがFilFla (フィルフラ)で、FilFlaとしては、HEADZからは『Sound Fiction』 (WEATHER 047 / HEADZ 147)以来、約9年振り、海外リリース作 (オーストラリアのSomeone Goodより)のミニ・アルバム『FlipTap』からも約8年振りとなる新作アルバム (通算5作目)が遂に完成。
