The end of fairy tales is always cruel. "Shinigami Hime and the Library of Monsters" is a 2D adventure game in which you explore the Abnormal Library and the worlds inside books to save girls who have transformed into monstrous forms because of their trauma. You control the girl Mono and give commands to her partner Meer to solve gimmicks scattered throughout the book worlds. As the third title in the picture book series after "The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince" and "The Cruel King and the Great Hero", it keeps the series signature picture book expression using analog illustrations while setting the stage in an eerie monochrome world under the theme of a picture book you can play and break. Graphics and directing that draw on picture book elements: the world that the protagonists explore uses stage designs created by embodying the girls trauma. This title lets you experience a worldview that feels as if the analog drawings created by Sayaka Oda have been dropped directly into the game. Monochrome expression based on hand drawn art, storybook style illustrations, and narration that feels like being read to are inserted throughout, and because many elements of the picture book theme are woven in, you can enjoy the sense of immersion of directly interfering with the book worlds together with the protagonists. Gimmicks where you break paper stages to progress: in the picture book world that serves as the stage, you solve gimmicks by destroying or deforming the background graphics. By eating or turning the paper stages, which are made of paper, you break the picture book world so you can move forward. As the story progresses, Mono and Meer also gain skills, so take on the various gimmicks placed in each stage. Grotesque yet cute characters full of contrast: waiting at the far end of each stage are Shinigami Princess girls who have become deformed by their trauma. Defeat them and save them from the changed forms they have fallen into. In addition to the somewhat melancholy designs of these Shinigami Princesses that combine cute girls and monstrosities, many other deformed beings that live in the Abnormal Library and are based on animals also appear. メルヘンの終わりは、いつも残酷――【『シニガミ姫と異書館ノ怪物』とは】トラウマが原因で異形の姿に変異してしまった少女たちを救うため、少女たちが収監された「異書館」と「本」の世界を冒険する2Ｄアドベンチャーです。プレイヤーは、主人公である少女モノを操作し相棒メェルに指示を出すことで、「本」の世界に散りばめられたギミックを解くことができます。『嘘つき姫と盲目王子』『わるい王様とりっぱな勇者』に続く絵本シリーズ3作目となる本タイトル。絵本シリーズの特徴であるアナログイラストを使った絵本的表現はそのままに、今までのシリーズ作品とは一線を画す、どこか不気味なモノクロの世界を舞台にした「遊べて、壊せる絵本」がテーマの作品となっています。■絵本の要素を取り入れたグラフィック・演出：主人公たちが冒険する世界は、少女たちのトラウマを具現化して創られたステージデザインを採用。デザインを担当する小田紗耶香がアナログで描く絵を、そのままゲームに落とし込んだかのような世界観が味わえる本タイトル。手書きをもとにしたモノクロ表現や、絵本風の挿絵や語りによる読み聞かせのような演出が差し込まれていたりと、テーマである「絵本」の要素がたくさん盛り込まれているため、主人公たちとともに本の世界へと干渉する没入感を楽しめます。■紙のステージを「こわして」進むギミック：舞台となる絵本の世界では、背景のグラフィックを破壊・変形することでギミックを解くことができます。「紙」でできている各ステージを食べたりめくったりして、絵本の世界をこわすことで進むことができるようになります。ストーリーが進むと、モノやメェルのスキルも獲得できるので、各ステージにあるさまざまなギミックを解いていきましょう。■異形×可愛い！ギャップ満載のキャラクター：ステージの最奥に待つのは、トラウマにより異形化してしまった“シニガミ姫”の少女たち。変わり果てた姿となってしまった彼女たちを倒し、救済してあげましょう。かわいらしい少女と異形を組み合わせた、どこか物憂げなデザインのシニガミ姫たちのほかにも、異書館で暮らす、動物をモチーフにした異形たちが多く登場します。【CERO年齢別レーティング: 15歳以上対象】
