New DVD release from the "serious" comedy film "Heibon Ponch" starring Rina Akiyama, known as popular idol "Oshirina" (which means "beautiful hip"). The director / scriptwriter Sakichi Sato ("Tokyo Zombie") also plays a role of "geek director." The film is based on the George Asakura's highly-acclaimed same titled manga, which was serialized in underground manga magazine "IKKI." Story goes like this. The main character Aki Majima (Sakichi Sato), ne'er-do-well beefy man in his thirty but enthusiastic for film art, loses his long-awaited opportunity to make his film at the last moment to a competitor. One day, a mysterious beautiful girl named Mika (Rina Akiyama) appears out of the blue in front of the broken-hearted Majima, and asks him to make a film starring herself. In a whirlwind of changes that he now goes through, crazy things happen to him, one after another, and through it all, Majima and the girl begin to care for each other and then...
