Master filmmaker John Frankenheimer helmed this equally excellent sequel to the Friedkin classic "French Connection". Gene Hackman and Fernando Rey reprise their original roles, with Bernard Fresson as 'Popeye' Doyle's (Hackman) reluctant French partner.
