Amazing one! 5

This album is really, really nice! I love it. MISSA moves me because I can see how Dir en Grey has changed since their first debut untill these days. The songs, the lyrics...They are different from other albuns. For me, it's the most special album. I'm sure MISSA really moves me.

Good work as always 4

Dir en grey's Missa is rather amusing to listen to, but i do not recommend it to be the first album of Dir en grey to buy. The songs mostly sound the same, once you have collected all the other albums, you can get this one, or if you really are a hardcore fan. For every Hardcore Dir en grey fan like me, even this album is a piece of art in it's own special way.

Visual Kei Grey 4

Not the best Dir en Grey CD that money can buy but still interesting to see what the band were like way back in the day. It really shows how much they've changed and progressed over the years. I'd recommend this to long time fans rather than those new to the band although GARDEN is still one of my favourite Dir en Grey songs.

Only for die-hard fans 2

In my opinion, Missa ain't too special, not even if viewed as an debut album. The only song I can honestly say I like is "Garden"; the others are quite so-so, even though especially Shinya and Kaoru are doing some really skilful playing all the way. I wouldn't consider this as an essential Deg item to purchase; buy this only if you're a die-hard fan who must own everything they've ever released.

Roots, their bloody roots 4

Diru's roots are here, yes sir. Along with single tracks such as "I'll", "Toriko", "Jealous", "Unknown.. Despair.. A Lost" and "Ash", this is a nice collection of songs, albeit quite different from what they released later. Some might find it difficult to listen to, but it's really quite lovely. I wish they would reissue their first three VHS tapes (two clip tapes and one live tape) on DVD, though. That would make the roots-era complete.

An excellent start 5

As far as a first release goes this EP is absolutely brilliant. Whilst it may not be to some peoples likings this is where the legendary Dir en grey began and NEEDS to be in your collection whatever your opinion on it is. 2 tracks that really stand out for me are 'GARDEN' and the original 'byou shin'. Again people would love to argue against this but Dir en grey really need to think about playing some of their older songs (Missa - Kisou era) at their live shows again, as it is Dir en grey truely at their best.

Pretty gosh darned cool. 4

I really love Dir en grey, but this isn't as much for casual listeners. I really like it, but it's still very raw since it's their first release type thing. But don't be discouraged, it's still got that Diru charm. :]

Every career has a beginning... 4

It's always interesting when a band struggles for an identity, when their sound is still very raw and unpolished. This is definitely the case for 'MISSA', the first release from Dir en grey. This EP holds good production value and the band is playing really well together. All songs are good while "Erode", "GARDEN" and "Byou ' ' Shin" are my favourites. So while this is nowhere near as good as anything else they've released, remember that every career has a beginning and in this case, a very good one!

Nothing special ... 2

If you search for the best things from Dir en Grey, this is not an album for you. Only for the more upset fans.

90's VK and that's it. 2

There isn't much to say here. Nothing more than 90's Visual Kei. I only recomend it if you're a hardcore fan like me. Anything from "MACABRE" on is better than this mini album. The best track from "MISSA" is the last one, "Byou ' ' Shin", but Dir en grey released a new (and better) version of it in "six Ugly" (2002).

Amazing. 5

This is their first mini-album, which contains six songs including the now popular Garden and Erode. I love Dir en grey and have never been disappointed with their music. I think that every Dir fan will love this.
