Description

[Machine Translation] After 25 years, the phantom sound source has finally been officially released on CD! PHILIP CHEVRON is the guitarist and songwriter of the legendary 70's Irish PUNK band " RADIATORS ( FROM SPACE ) " and of the original paddy beat band POGUES, a fusion of Irish and Punk, formed in London in the 80's. PHILIP CHEVRON's first solo album was "Songs From Bill's Dance Hall", released independently in 1981. This album is the first solo work by Philippe after the breakup of RADIATORS, and all the songs are composed by two composers who were active in Germany in the 1920's, Kurt Weill, a musical music composer who wrote the theater piece "Three-Penny Opera" that included the famous song "Mack the Knife", and the socialist composer " Bertolt Brecht ". The album features Philip's interpretation of the musical "Happy End" by the famous duo of Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht, a socialist composer and composer. At the time of its release, his rock and punk approach to classical music was controversial, and he himself called it "youthful indiscretion," but it is a glimpse of his sensitive talent. The fact that this album was made between the punk period of RADIATORS and POGUES shows the richness of Philip's musical talent, and proves that he cannot be categorized as a mere punk musician. It also shows the richness of Irish musicians' musical talent. For this reissue, Philip has remastered the album to create the sound he originally wanted to express, and will include a detailed commentary written by Philip himself in the liner notes. The reissue will also include a detailed commentary written by Philippe himself. Currently, in addition to his work with the reunited POGUES and RADIATORS, Philip is an active artist, producing music for the theater, primarily in the UK and Ireland.

Songs From Bill's Dance Hall / PHILIP CHEVRON
