nice marbles was a 3 member band with former members from captain hedge hog, popcatcher, and papillion. upon buying this album i expected the kind of sound i heard from them in their later years, when i recieved it and gave a listen i had something entirely different. being a KOGA record there is definately some resemblences to other KOGA bands, i can best describe the sound of this album as pop rock with hints of surf inspired melody. when thinking of other bands on the KOGA label like RON RON CLOU and NUDGE'EM ALL you can see some similarities. Being their debut album after their self titled demo tape, the songs all have a similar sound to them warrenting an album listen since there aren't any singles that stand out above the rest. the album in whole has a light feel though and is quite nice and poppy and Abe Masato is definately one of my favorite male vocalist.
