Slow LIVE at HONMONJI

While ORIGINAL LOVE's acoustic sets are popular with adult music fans for their delicate sound, their wild performances, which are not considered to be acoustic, have gained overwhelming support from younger live fans. The band has been a favorite of young fans. Takao Tajima's soulful vocals mix with the thrilling jug-band-like interplay of the top musicians to create a supreme live experience for the audience. 「大人に長く聴かれ続ける上質なアコースティック・サウンド」をコンセプトに2018年にスタートしたSlow LIVE LABEL。今年は第二弾として、ORIGINAL LOVEの池上本門寺でのライヴをレコーディングします。田島貴男は2010年、ソロ名義で本門寺でのイベント”Slow LIVE”に初登場。その翌年、ORIGINAL LOVE史上初めてのアコースティックセットにこのSlow LIVEで挑戦しました。以降”ORIGINAL LOVE(アコースティックセット)”と銘打って計7回、いずれも熱狂的なステージを本門寺で繰り広げてきました。その後、同じ編成で単独公演や他のフェスティバルへの出演もしていくことになります。一方でSlow LIVEでは、様々なアーティストがアコースティックセットにトライするようになりました。双方にとってとても重要なターニングポイントとなったのです。ORIGINAL LOVEのアコースティックセットは繊細なサウンドが大人の音楽ファンに人気がある一方で、アコースティック編成とは思えないワイルドなパフォーマンスは若いライヴ・ファンの圧倒的な支持を得ています。田島貴男のソウルフルなヴォーカルと、一流ミュージシャン達のジャグバンドの様なスリリングなインタープレイが混ざり合い、オーディエンスに至上のライヴ体験をもたらしてくれます。音楽愛の詰まったアルバムに、今年もご期待ください。
