「心に傘を」をコンセプトに活動するumbrella5枚目のシングル「Frontier」。爽やかな歌モノからラウドなサウンドまで幅広い表現を得意とする彼らだが、今作は人が手放すことができない皮肉、痛み、悲しみなど三種三様の負の感情が一枚に凝縮されている。表面的な感情ではなく深く精神に語りかけるような、映画ともドラマとも違った、「umbrellaの音楽」という物語が堪能できるシングルとなっている。「Frontier」は、ギターヴォーカルを務める唯が作詞作曲のアップテンポのナンバー。前作「ヨルノカーテン」からさらに進化したumbrellaの『今』が詰め込まれた「Frontier」。タイトルのFrontier-新天地-という言葉はumbrellaの音楽を信じ、自分たちの居場所を共に切り開いていこうという力強く激しい投げかけだ。<プロフィール>2010年3月14日結成。ヴォーカル唯、ギター柊、ベース春、ドラム将の4人組ロックバンド。「心に傘を」をコンセプトに関西を中心に活動中。哀愁あるメロディと切ない歌詞、完成度の高い演奏スキルはヴィジュアルシーンでも唯一無二の存在として認知が急速に拡大中。
