Yet another great live! I was once again moved to tears! Gackt really knows how to put on one heck of a show! I especially loved when he performed Sayonara, really stirring. And him playing with the kitties was fun to watch. Loved the pants :)

For any fan of Gackt, this DVD is definitely a must-buy. He sings perfectly, never singing out of tune, and he doesn't seem to get out of breath as easily as he did with MARS. He's obviously grown since then, and it shows. While the movie bits might be difficult to understand, I don't see how that would affect anyone's judgement of the entire concert, which is simply phenomenal. It starts dark, with a dark set, and later moves to become spectacular and seductive. Whereas in the first part you can see Gackt freaking out whilst singing the beautiful rock song Maria, in the second part you can see him jumping around on a stage filled with Cats. It's madness, it's beautiful, it's Gackt.

No words can describe the sheer brilliance of this concert. I just finished watching the DVD in its entirety and am at a loss for words. "Requiem et Reminiscence -Shuen to seijaku-" is, without a doubt, one of Gackt's best lives (in my opinion, anyway). His vocals are strong (stronger than the MARS concert), he is pitch perfect, and his performances are awe-inspiring. Granted, this concert is set on a darker tone/setting (particularly in the beginning). But one must remember that the REBIRTH album isn't as light-hearted as MARS is. The only thing that SORT of confused me was the movie bits; I wasn't too sure what was going on there. But I assure you, it will not hinder the overall enjoyment of this concert. All in all, I HIGHLY enjoyed 'Requiem' and recommend it to all Gackt fans. It is a concert not to be missed.

Of all of Gackt's tour DVDs, this is the worst of them. Gackt seems very uncomfortable while performing, the costumes aren't nearly as good as they are in later concerts and the movie parts are difficult to understand. Any of his other concert DVDs would be better than this one.

I think of all of Gackt's tours--all of which are wonderful--this one may just be the best. True, it could just be his orange pants. (I have a weird soft spot for those pants and literally fangirl squealed when he came out. >_>;;) I think Gackt's story is really really good in this one, and really really easy to understand, even when you don't understand Japanese. (Like myself!) Plus, he is so cute. He's a little sickishly thin, but I think it's because he was fairly ill. For being ill though, he put on one heck of a show. I can watch this DVD from beginning to end over and over and over, unlike his other ones, where I usually skip around and don't watch over and over and over. (Well, I do, but that's beyond the point.) I don't even like Masa and yet I love this DVD. I absolutely love it. <3 <3 <3 You will not regret buying it. And yet, it seems to be the most underappreciated. ;_; So don't hesitate: go right now and buy it!
