The hotel is about to close, and Anne and the other Vietnamese employees are about to retire. Sano has recently lost his wife Nagi, whom he met and fell in love with at this hotel five years ago. Miyata, unable to bear the sight of Sano's desperation and obsession with the memory of his wife, offers him advice as a friend, but Miyata's words do not reach Sano, who is devoted to a certain seminar.
