Hakushi Hasegawa's first new album in two years, released via Flying Lotus's label Brainfeeder! Boldly incorporating live performances by HaHa and The Hairpins, a new band Hasegawa formed, it is an ambitious work that steps into unprecedented new sound territory. It also features a diverse lineup of guest artists, including Mito Tsukino, tofubeats, Accorinrin (of Otoboke Beaver), and Lee Lang, in a series of distinctive and unexpected collaborations. With every track connected non-stop, the album as a whole is structured to tell a single story. Popular manga artist George Asakura provided newly drawn jacket artwork and new artist visuals. Naoki Takehisa, who handled the previous artist visual photography, continues as art director, working on the design together with Moe Yoshino. The album's first single, "The Owner Of Sweetness," is a track built on a band sound that is unusually simple for Hasegawa, performed live by the uniquely talented musicians of HaHa and The Hairpins, while Hasegawa's signature approach intersects throughout in a complex, emotional song. The track was mixed by Geoff Swan, known for his work with Ed Sheeran and Charli XCX, resulting in an energetic, dynamic sound. Includes an approximately 6,000-character self-written liner notes booklet by Hasegawa himself. Comes in a slipcase box. Includes a self-liner-notes booklet. Includes a lyrics and English-translated lyrics booklet.
