是枝裕和監督の過去作が待望のBlu-ray化! 今振り返るべき名作が高画質でよみがえる! カンヌ国際映画祭、絶賛! 是枝裕和監督が9年間大切に温めた愛の感動作。空っぽな人形が「心」を持ってしまった――。嬉しくて切ない愛の物語。――古びたアパートで、持ち主である秀雄と暮らす空気人形――空っぽな、誰かの「代用品」。ある朝、本来持ってはいけない「心」を持ってしまう。秀雄が仕事に出かけると、洋服を着て靴を履いて、街へと歩き出す。初めて見る外の世界で、いろいろな人間とすれ違い、つながっていく空気人形。ある日、レンタルビデオ店で働く純一と出会い、その店でアルバイトをすることに。密かに純一に想いを寄せる空気人形だったが、彼の心の中にどこか自分と同じ空虚感を感じてしまう――。
