Delinquents protect the town and become heroes. "WIND BREAKER," the hugely popular manga depicting the battles of troublemakers who throw punches not to destroy but to protect, finally arrives as a live-action movie! The story of the once-lonely protagonist growing strongly through bonds with his companions, along with the charming characters surrounding him, helped the series surpass 10 million copies in worldwide circulation in just four years since serialization began. The excitement finally descends as a live-action movie! Koshi Mizukami, who won the Japan Academy Film Prize for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for "Ano Hana ga Saku Oka de, Kimi to Mata Deaetara." (23), plays the lonely high school student Haruka Sakura. Taisei Kido, Keito Tsuna, JUNON of BE:FIRST making his first serious acting challenge, Motoki Nakazawa, and Shuhei Uesugi appear as members of "Bofurin" who fight alongside Sakura. Rikako Yagi joins as a figure watching over everyone in "Bofurin," while Koki Yamashita and Noritaka Hamao portray members of the rival team "Shishitoren," bringing together passionate and determined young actors currently active across many fields. Filmed entirely on location in Okinawa, the movie recreates the town where "Bofurin" thrives. Combining exhilarating wind action with wind speeds exceeding 25m/s that draws viewers into their battles, and an overwhelming youth drama created by the team of director Kentaro Hagiwara of "Blue Period" and screenwriter Yosuke Masaike of "Haken Anime!," a completely new delinquent movie that breaks past conventions is born.
