J-Pop (incl. City Pop)

Starting with the explosive sales of Mariya Takeuchi's "Plastic Love," city pop LPs are popular this year as well as 2020. It reminds us of Miki Matsubara's "Mayonaka no Door" ranked high in the number of plays on subscriptions around the world.
Indonesian singer Rainych's cover version became color vinyl format this year.

At the same time, there is a noticeable trend that LPs released from artists relatively unknown to a majority of people such as Susumu Hirasawa and Fishmans.
Especially as for Fishmans, we've featured here. If you have not experienced their music, this might be the high time to get to know them.
Speaking of city pop, this collectible is also selling well. This is a doll of the King of City Pop, Mr. Takeuchi's husband, Tatsuro Yamashita!

Anime OST

There has been a noticeable trend of anime OSTs releasing new LPs at almost the same time they release CDs such as Demon Slayer, Hikaru Utada's "One Last Kiss" (for Evangelion), and "Sonny Boy."

It seems to that there are more and more LP-only products. Some of them are very limited in number, and will inevitably become rare, so buy them while you can.
