Jay Chou's Reissue Series Continues with Three SHM-CD + DVD Titles

The next wave of Jay Chou's album reissue series brings together three titles from 2006 to 2008: "Still Fantasy," "Jay Chou On The Run," and "Capricorn."

Following the first wave of early album reissues, this lineup focuses on Jay Chou's 7th to 9th original albums. Each title is released as a two-disc set with an SHM-CD and a bonus DVD.

Each release features:

  • A bonus DVD with music videos or related video content.
  • A first press jacket card (U-CONNECT card; system requirements unknown), available while supplies last.

Still Fantasy [SHM-CD+DVD]

The 7th original album, released in 2006. This work incorporates, with Jay Chou's distinctive musical sense, influences ranging from classical music to R&B, hip-hop, and traditional Chinese music. It includes the major hit "Far Away," featuring Fei Yu-ching.

Disc 1 also includes "Huo Yuan Jia," found only on the Japanese edition. The DVD contains the music videos for "Chapter Seven" and "Far Away," as well as making-of and outtake scenes from the "Far Away" music video, with Japanese subtitles. Lyrics and Japanese translations are included.

Jay Chou On The Run (Boku wa Tottemo Isogashii) [SHM-CD+DVD]

The 8th original album, released in 2007. It opens with an American country-style number, and the artwork features Jay Chou dressed in cowboy fashion.

The album was produced immediately after he finished shooting his long-awaited directorial debut film, amid an extremely packed schedule. The title reflects both his hectic real life and his promise to fans to release one album a year. In addition to his established standard style, the album takes on new approaches while also including many moving ballads. Lyrics and Japanese translations are included. The DVD contains music videos of the single-cut tracks.

Capricorn [SHM-CD+DVD]

The 9th original album, released in 2008. The original album title "Capricorn" is a coined word combining Jay Chou's zodiac sign Capricorn, the character "jie" from his name, and the idea of magic, which he was absorbed in at the time.

The album contains fewer love songs and more healing songs, reflecting a strong message to a society affected by the global financial crisis and successive natural disasters around the time of its release. Musically, it features Jay Chou's signature fusion of R&B, hip-hop, and Chinese music, while also letting listeners enjoy his side as a pianist. Lyrics and Japanese translations are included. The DVD contains music videos of the single-cut tracks.
