"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Movie: Infinity Castle - Part 1: Akaza Returns" Blu-ray & DVD Release Confirmed!

"Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" is based on the manga by Koyoharu Gotoge, which has surpassed 220 million copies in circulation across volumes 1–23 published by Shueisha Jump Comics. The anime adaptation is produced by ufotable.
Following the announcement of the Infinity Castle arc as a theatrical trilogy, Part 1: Akaza Returns premiered in Japan on July 18, 2025, and concluded its theatrical run on April 9, 2026 (excluding some theaters).

During its 266-day run, the film grossed over 40.2 billion yen domestically with 27.45 million admissions, becoming only the second Japanese film in history to surpass the 40 billion yen mark. Worldwide box office revenue reached approximately 117.9 billion yen, setting an extraordinary global record.
The Blu-ray & DVD release is officially scheduled for July 29, 2026!

Story

Tanjiro Kamado joins the Demon Slayer Corps to turn his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human. Alongside his companions Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira, he battles numerous demons while growing stronger and deepening their bonds.
After fighting alongside the Hashira in previous arcs, the Corps prepares for the final battle through intense training. However, Muzan Kibutsuji appears at the Corps headquarters, plunging Tanjiro and the Hashira into a mysterious dimension.

The destination is the demons’ stronghold — the Infinity Castle. The final battle between the Demon Slayer Corps and the demons begins.
