DVD第8巻。―― 時は近未来。アニメ作品『機動戦士ガンダム』のプラスチックモデル――通称『ガンプラ』が、1980年代に一大ブームメントを巻き起こしてから早幾年。今、第2次ガンプラブームと呼ぶべき、新たな波が世界を席巻していた。その人気をけん引しているのが、製作したガンプラそのものを操作して戦うという『ガンプラバトル』の存在である。この画期的なバトルシステムの登場により、その人気は拡大、毎年、ガンプラバトル世界大会が開催されるまでに至っている。本編の主人公、イオリ・セイも、ガンプラを愛し、ガンプラバトル世界大会への出場を夢見る、若きガンプラビルダー(製作者)である。模型店の一人息子ということもあり、高いガンプラ製作能力を持つ彼だが、バトルの操縦には疎く、大会に出場しても初戦敗退を続けていた。そんな彼が、卓越したガンプラ操縦技術を持つ謎の少年、レイジと出会い、コンビを組んで世界大会に挑む! 第20話～第22話を収録。
