THE BAWDIES、約1年4ヶ月振りとなるシングルの7inchアナログ盤。本作の表題曲「SUNSHINE」では新たにプロデューサーに長岡亮介(ペトロールズ)を、エンジニアに高山徹を迎えて制作。多彩なコーラスワークと、ヴァイオリンやペダルギターが加わった新境地的サウンドのミドルナンバー。一方で、カップリングは、THE BAWDIESの真骨頂ともいえる、ライブで盛り上がる事必至の踊れるアッパーなロックンロール・ナンバーを2曲収録。現在のTHE BAWDIESを語る上で必要な、それぞれ異なったタイプの曲を一同に収録。
