自身のデビュー曲にして、主題歌を担当したTVアニメ「機動戦士Zガンダム」が、新たに「CRフィーバー機動戦士Zガンダム」として全国パチンコホールに導入されることが決定。今回の新曲はこの企画のために2曲特別に書き下ろされたものとなり、新たな"森口博子×Zガンダム"の歴史がスタートする!! 今作の新曲2曲は、テーマ曲と呼ぶにふさわしい高揚感のある「鳥籠の少年」と、森口本人が作詞を手掛けた壮大なミドルバラード「生命の声」。また今回はデビュー曲である「水の星に愛をこめて」も実機に搭載されることとなり、この1985年デビュー当時のオリジナル音源もボーナストラックとして特別に収録が決定。
