andymoriの解散、自主レーベル「Sparkling Records」の発足と長澤知之らと結成したAL(アル)の活動。目まぐるしく移り変わる音楽人生の中、並行してソロ活動を行い、2016年の弾き語りツアー開催から2019年のバンド・弾き語りツアーで「小山田壮平」としての在り方も自然に形成されていく中、ついにリリースされる初のソロアルバム。本作は、まるで旅をするかのように住む場所も暮らし方も日々変わってゆく目の前の景色と人生を綴った作品。喜びも悲しみも受け入れ前に進んでいこうとする気持ちをうたった「HIGH WAY」をはじめ、旅先のインドでできた「Kapachino」、フランスのアルルという街で書いた「ローヌの岸辺」、旅する気持ちと一日を綴った「旅に出るならどこまでも」、「君の愛する歌」、日常を切り取った「あの日の約束通りに」など、小山田壮平の今思う「旅と人生」について収めた詩集にも似たソロファーストアルバム。全12曲収録。
