悠久の歴史を持つ京都を舞台に、真実の愛を求めて彷徨う一組の夫婦と妻の妹、そして孤独な青年が交錯する様を繊細に描いた幻想ドラマ。多彩な顔を持つ辻仁成が監督・脚本を務め、切ない過去を秘めた姉妹と織り成す人間模様を幻想的な筆致で綴る。堂珍嘉邦を主演に迎え、『花子とアン』で注目を集めた高梨臨、石橋杏奈、村井良大、松岡充、高橋ひとみら、個性豊かな豪華俳優陣が集結し、白昼夢のようなラブストーリーにリアリティを吹き込んでいる。――祇園祭が近づく京都。劇団の人気演出家・優児と看板女優だった亜紀はひそかに結婚し、路地裏の家屋でひっそりと暮らしていた。次回公演の準備を始めたばかりの優児だったが、虚ろな表情でどこか様子がおかしい。そんな彼の前に、ある日、亜紀の妹・陽菜が現れる。亜紀に関する秘密を告げようとする陽菜に対して、頑なに冷たい態度をとる優児。由緒あるサロンバーを営む家で生まれ育った陽菜には、亜紀がいなくなった今、後継としての期待がかけられていた。それを重荷に感じる陽菜は、死別した父親への思慕、姉への裏切りと後悔・・・様々なものに押しつぶされそうな中で、孤独な青年・文哉と知り合い、少しずつ心を通わせていくが・・・。
