Description
A story centers on Ikenobo Senko, a founder of the oldest school of ikebana (Japanese floral art) in the late 16th century, played by Mansai Nomura. Joe Hisaishi composed music for this film. Ikenobo Senko challenges the power that be, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, who commands Senko's friend, Rikyu (a monk with the most profound influence on Japanese tea ceremony), to commit hara-kiri.
