Autumn is a rich season of harvest, beautiful weather, and film festivals! Many talented creators and artists are recognized for their works that awe people all over the world, and of course, lots of Japanese directors are among them.

This year, Japanese director Kichitaro Negishi has been awarded the Best Director award at the 33rd Montreal World Film Festival for his 2009 film, "Villon's Wife (Viyon No Tsuma)" based on the classic novel by Osamu Dazai.
