Quatermass [SHM-CD] [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)]QuatermassIF YOU LIKE DEEP PURPLE/URIAH HEEP
if you like DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW OR URIAH HEEP you will love quartermass, this band was a one album power trio way back almost 50 years ago in 1970, they released this one lp and it is a hard rock classic!!!!! so much so that the second track on this disc ( black sheep of the family) was covered by blackmore on the first rainbow record in 1975, this trio featured the late JOHN GUSTAFSON , MICK UNDERWOOD & PETE ROBINSON, if you know anything about these three musicians you should know this record will rock hard, in fact some may remember mick underwood in the IAN GILLAN BAND in the mid to late 1970s, anyway i cant say enough about this powerful killer heavy rock album from 1970, the BELLE label did a fantastic job with the mini cardboard lp sleeve replication as per the original uk lp, if you are a fan of 70s hard rock and metal or just an oldschool rock fan YOU WILL LOVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!! grab this before its oop............. great shm remastering as well.

Avalon [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)] [Limited Release]Roxy MusicBrilliant First Time Listen
Full Disclosure: I have never in my life heard this album. I only bought this album because the cover reminded me of the Wishbone Ash album cover. As it turns out completely different style of band. However, I love it. Glad I bought it. Sounds fantastic.

461 Ocean Boulevard [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)] [Limited Release]Eric ClaptonBest version around, by far no letdown
This is by far the best version of this title around - even better than the old MFSL gold CD. What we have here is a direct transfer of the original analog master tape, using latest technology. What the other reviewer calls partly "muffled" - thats simply in the recording itself. Do not miss this out and enjoy!

All Things Must Pass [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)] [Limited Release]George HarrisonMassive Difference
I did an A/B comparison between this and the HD files from HD Tracks and for what ever reason each instrument sounds separated as if the band is playing live. The other version seems to have the instruments too blended together. Well done MQA..

The Beatles [Super Deluxe Edition] [6SHM-CD + Blu-ray Audio / Limited Edition]The BeatlesBest Esher Tapes ever! Worth the BOX.
The BOX is worth for the Esher tapes recorded at Harrison's house alone. I have dozens of versions of these tapes, but now, I don't know how they did it, but it sounds fantastic. Presentation is sturdy and glossy with delicate finish. The A2 poster is a big plus as well, I'll frame it.

Foxtrot [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)] [Limited Release]GenesisNew Face of good old Dance
After the platinum SMH, one could hardly expect anything more. But, this is awesome. It seems that the album was recorded yesterday, and not half a century ago. It is very difficult to perceive such a high sound quality (it would be nice if Shalyapin was published in same format). Even on a regular CD player (and I tried it too) the sound is breathtakingly good! It is a pity that the cover design option leaves much to be desired. But, most likely, we will be forced to pay again ... For the option of mini vinyl. Anyway, I'm delighted! Especially if you listen it using blue-ray player.

Beaucoups Of Blues [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)] [Limited Release]Ringo StarrGreat Listening Improvement
This album sounds better than it ever has. First the songs are well written and capably sung by Ringo. Features a star studded cast of songwriters and country musicians on an album which was generally under appreciated at the time of its release. Participants include Jerry Reed, Wayne Fontana, the Jordanaires and a host of other recognisable Nashville performers. Second the MQA/UHQCD pressing adds real depth and detail to the overall recording and takes it to a new level of listening enjoyment. Worth listening to and a general reappraisal. You will be pleasantly surprised.

this was the first record released by wind and is without a doubt much better then there second record, you get distorted guitar, hammond organ and lots of psyche elements here, the lp replication as per the original sleeve seems to be done very well. this shm remastered cd sounds loud and phenomenal. this comes with two inserts and a nice japan obi strip. what a classic from almost 50 years ago............. great krautrock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Fuzzy Duck [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [SHM-CD]Fuzzy DuckFANTASTIC RELEASE BY BELLE
this was one of the best hard rock records to come out in the uk back in 1971 but at that time sadly got very overlooked and by the mid to late 1980s went into cult classic status. anyway here we get the great belle label give this the shm remastered treatment with pretty well done original lp replication, this is the best remastering i have ever heard this fuzzy duck disc sound, the lp replication as per the original uk lp sleeve has been done to near perfection and this comes with the standard japan/english lyric sheet and a nice obi strip, this album will always be way up there as one of the best hard rock records of 1971, if you like deep purple mark 2 , 3 & 4 as well as uriah heep YOU WILL LOVE THIS BAND!!!!!!!!!!!1

YELLOW MAGIC ORCHESTRAYELLOW MAGIC ORCHESTRAThe Begining of Y.M.O
I rememeber discover this band on a second hand old LP in 2004, this remastering was just amazing, it's warm and feel like the original tape, good job !!!
-
SOLID STATE SURVIVORYELLOW MAGIC ORCHESTRAThe most famous album of Y.M.O
Probably the best album of the band, like the first one, the remaster was just, as close as you get to the original tape, no compromise, it's a must have !!!

Phallus Dei [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] [SHM-CD]Amon Duul IIDECENT
i bought all 6 titles as i love amon duul but i can agree that the sleeve replications are not as perfect as they should be, regardless the remastering makes these recordings sound great and the BELLE label did an ok job, hopefully they do there research a bit better in the future.........

You can buy the same performance, in 12 CD Furtwangler complete, on first disc, and complete is named: "Wilhelm Furtwangler - The Complete R I A S Recordings 1947-1954". Beggars Banquet [Cardboard Sleeve (mini LP)] (50th Anniversary Edition / 7-inch Cardboard Sleeve) [Limited Release]The Rolling StonesGreat SACD Sound
Great mastering job with nice midrange and clear stereo separation although not necessarily better than the 2005 release. This Japan only release with the 7inch cover is wonderful and shows what a shoddy job has been done with this anniversary edition elsewhere. Looking forward to similar treatments for subsequent 50myear anniversary Stones releases.
