CD & DVD THE BEST Scanch Kiseki no Uta [CD+DVD]SCANCHBest of Scnach
A great collection of songs from Rolly Teranishi's band Scanch, heavily influenced by 70s British rock, namely Queen. The CD has a great selection of tracks from the band and the DVD features five of the bands music videos that makes a great additional bonus to a wonderful album. For fans of Rolly's work this album is a definite must!

We Love Katamari- Original Soundtrack: Katamari wa DamacyGame MusicAt the very least, I love Katamari!
I listen to a lot of classical and instrumental music, so the vocals and contemporary style of this album are a nice change of pace; it's really fun stuff to listen to, and makes you feel HAPPY inside! "Katamari on the Swing" (Track 02) is a swing-jazz remix of the Katamari main theme. "Everlasting Love" (06) is poppin' J-rock piece with a female vocalist; good beat! "Blue Orb" (11) is an ethereal, electronic piece; really spacey-sounding, like you're viewing the Earth from space, probably hence the track title. "Beautiful Star" (08) is also an ethereal, heavenly piece; characterized by use of accordion, it also has a sense of ambience to it: you can hear a fountain running, people walking, and children playing in the background, but not obtrusively so. "Angel's Rain" (09) sort of continues the accordion-based, almost French motif of "Beautiful Star," except this piece gets us back to the vocals. Lastly, "Houston" (10) is a bossa nova piece, with a good rhythm, and an usually soothing male vocalist.

BEST PACKMariya TakeuchiBest Pack, Best Voice!
This compilation is very good. Listening to it, one can have an idea of Mariya's work; some songs are quite old already, but still refreshing and pleasant to listen to. The ballads are just great! I'm very fond of Mariya, she's a great singer; her voice is powerful and beautiful; it fits every style, especially the blues and the jazz. I recommend this album to anyone, who wishes to know Mariya Takeuchi, who is, according to me, one of the best voice of Japan!

Seishun Uta Nenkan Enka Kayo Hen 1970 Nendai BestV.A.Quite...
possibly the best CD I've ever bought! At first I didn't know what to expect and to tell the truth I had only bought the CD for Tetsuya Watari's Kuchinashi no Hana. I did however listen to the whole CD and it has got such a great selection of talented artists on it. For a varied view on 70's enka, you should nae must buy this CD

DeviousYuiko TsubokuraA good choice for KOR fans !!
After hearing her song in Kimagure Orange Road OVA "Choose Me" i wanted to listen to more songs from her due to her strong & lovely voice. Being a KOR & 80s-90s fan i surly loved this CD and i wish if there was a collection for her songs.

Ai no UtaNanase AikawaClassic Single
This single contains two songs that are included in Nanase's ultra classic album "7". "Ai no uta" is a soft, mid-tempo rock song, with slows hypnotics guitars blended with Nanase's pop style, very well produced. "Dahria - She knows love" is a superb breath-taking song, with heart-moving melody, a sort of "zenith" of her modern style and -for me- one of the greatest song she had ever sang. Really a classic. Overhall, a perfect-entry single to Nanase's world.

Sukeban-Deka Last MemorialTV Original SoundtrackVery good song collection, but ...
Opposed to a previous review, all three Sukeban dekas girls are contained here (Shiroi no honno from Yuki Saito is also inside). But the ending theme "Naze? no arashii" from Sukeban Deka II ep. 1-15 is missing.

Taiyo no Uta [Regular Edition]Kaoru AmaneTaiyou no Uta
This single is very cute, with acoustic songs and cute lyrics. Erika's voice is a little scratchy in some parts though. Aside from that, I'd reccomend this single.

Recollection-Akina Nakamori Super Best-Akina NakamoriBrilliant
This CD is an amazing compilation of Akina Nakamori's greatest work. The first CD, the Ardent Side, is comprised of mostly her older songs from the early eighties. Songs like Slow Motion and Half No Shinwa grace this beautiful CD. The second CD, the Exotic Side, seems to be songs from the later part of the eighties, and into the nineties with more Western sounding songs like Sand Beige and Al Mauj, each with their own Japanese twist. The whole set is filled with amazing music that I personally can listen to over and over without getting bored, and I am quite glad I bought it. 5/5.

THE VERY BEST OF FOUR LEAVESFOUR LEAVESThe Golden age of J-Pop Idols.
It's hard to find other CDs of Four Leaves' oldies, so this compilation is a great opportunity to hear some of the band's songs which were released back in the 70s. This is a re-issue and contains 24 songs in total.
