A classical series from legendary Mushi Production, Ribbon no Kishi is based on a famous manga by late Osamu Tezuka, the god of manga. It was an epoch-making ANIME, as it defined the shojo genre back in the 60's, but it is indeed enjoyable today as it was 40 years ago. Recommended to anyboby interested in knights, princesses, sword-fighting and romance.
