The Nightfly [Hi-Res CD (MQA x UHQCD)] [Limited Release]

I have to say that this is one of my favorite albums of all time. I have this on several different formats and up until the MQA version was released, the Cardboard sleeve format from 2017 was the best sounding copy I have in my collection. The 2017 Cardboard release of this album has some mention of 2011 DSD, so I don’t know if it was taken from the SACD that was issued in that same year. I have several different copies of this album on various other formats including one that’s now insanely expensive. I bought the MQA version and I have to say that it is the absolutely best sounding version of this album that I’ve ever heard. I have this on Japanese vinyl, Dolby DTS 5.1 DVD, and a autographed copy of this title. I also own the 2011 Japanese SACD copy as well. The MQA version is without a doubt the best sounding version of this album. This release is a Warner Records Release and it is still better than any other format that I have this album on. It’s just a little bit better than the cardboard sleeve version released in 2017. That release ranks a close 2nd place. You get the clarity that MQA offers and the soundstage is more expansive with the MQA version. When I originally purchased my MQA CD collection from CDJapan, I did even have the ability to unfold the true sound quality of this exciting and amazing sounding format. I recently purchased the proper equipment to play these disc back as they are intended to be heard. I’m extremely glad that I bought the majority of the titles that I wanted as now most have sold out. MQA is an absolute pleasure to listen to.
