女子高生シンガーソングライター琴音のニューシングル。表題曲の「今」は現在17歳高校3年生の琴音が作詞作曲した新曲。まさに17歳のリアルな"今"を切り取り、葛藤や心の叫びをそのまま吐き出したような歌詞。そしてダイナミックなサウンドが包み込む楽曲でシンガーソングライター琴音としての新境地となっている。カップリング曲には、ツアーバンドのギタリスト&バンマスの岡田拓郎(ex.森は生きている)が作曲、歌詞はシンガーソングライター柴田聡子が琴音に書き下ろした「飛行機」を収録。そして初回限定盤は、今年4月に行われた「1st note TOUR 2019 -明日へ-」の東京公演(2019.4.3)から厳選された8曲の音源を収録したCD2枚組。
