全国17会場40公演40万人を動員した、松任谷由実自身初のコンサートツアーのベスト版「タイムマシーンツアー」の映像作品。ライブ本編は、代表曲「守ってあげたい」「Hello, my friend」「春よ、来い」「DESTINY」「ひこうき雲」は勿論の事、今作にて初公開となる「やさしさに包まれたなら」「海を見ていた午後」含む全29曲を収録。更に、特典映像として、ステージ制作のメイキング、リハーサルの様子などを、音楽プロデューサー・演出家 松任谷正隆氏のインタビューを織り交ぜ構成した『Traveling through TIME MACHINE TOUR』の収録が決定。巨大なセンターステージの下に仕込まれた演出の秘密、バックヤードでのチャーミングなユーミン、普段見ることの出来ない貴重な瞬間をおさえた秘蔵映像満載の内容となっている。更に、この特典映像には、ツアー最終公演の日本武道館で鳴り止まぬアンコールに応えて、ユーミンからのサプライズで披露された「卒業写真」もフルで収録。フォトブック仕様ブックレット付き。
