Wow, what a release! The best release of the year! I'm on disc 3 right now from the first set of the March 13th show , and it's killer....they're on fire for this show, lots of energy especially from Duane who's all over the fretboard with his slide. This is the show with the famous Statesboro Blues version, it's cool to hear the count in to the next song Trouble No More as we get the unedited set. Each set has it's own special feel to it, there's really no let down. It's all great , the Whipping Post version from the 2nd set of the March 12th show is phenomenal. I have yet to listen to the 2nd set from the 13th or the Fillmore closing show from June 27th but i can't wait to hear it! The remastered SHM-Cd sound is really excellent very clear and warm and mastered low....the balance between instruments is perfectly mastered. The booklet included is very cool , it includes some nice pictures from the stage and some commentary regarding each set. I'm extremely happy i picked this up , it's a wonderful release. Like i said , it's so cool to have the unedited sets in such good sound. Tom Dowd did a fantastic job engineering these recordings. Highly recommended!
