[Diggin' Universal Music produced by MURO] シャーリー・スコット、スタン・ゲッツ、ジミー・コブとの共演でも知られるジャズ・ハープの第一人者、ドロシー・アシュビー1970年の名盤。ハープはもちろん琴やマリンバも操り、スピリチュアルかつエキゾティックにして独特のグルーヴを湛えたサウンドを紡ぎ出すアシュビーが、11～12世紀のペルシャで活躍した詩人、オマル・ハイヤームの四行詩集『ルバイヤート』からのインスピレーションを表現したジャズ・ファンクの傑作。プロデュースは、1950年代にサン・ラのバンドで腕を鳴らし、1960～70年代にはキャデット・レコードでラムゼイ・ルイスやマーレナ・ショウの作品に携わった奇才、リチャード・エヴァンス。 (1970年作品) ●米国オリジナル・アナログ・テープを基にした 2017年96kHz/24bitリマスター音源 ●解説/歌詞/対訳付
