『モンスター・ホテル』のスタジオが贈る、小さな動物たちの大冒険! 家族みんなで楽しめる感動のクリスマス映画! 小さなからだに大きな使命を背負った動物たちの冒険活劇。――ある夜、マリアのもとへ聖霊がやってきて、神の子を身ごもると伝えられる。一方、生まれてからずっと粉ひき小屋で育ったロバのボーは、使命感に駆られ、親友である鳩のデイヴと小屋から逃げだし旅に出る。粉ひき小屋の主人から逃げる途中ケガをしてしまったボーは、マリアに助けられる。その後マリアと夫のヨセフは、出産のためベツレヘムへ向かうが、神の子を身ごもっているという噂から、ヘロデ大王の命令で兵士と2匹の犬がやってきた。マリアたちに危険が迫っていることを知ったボーは、必死に助けようとするが・・・。
