Great Single 4

Beautiful World/Kiss & Cry are two excellent tracks that take a few listens to get into. Beautiful World has a magical instrumentation with beautiful, sad lyrics. Utada hits her high notes perfectly in the song as well. Kiss & Cry goes back to her R&B roots with a mixture of her experimental style. The introduction of the brass hook you in and Utada's voice makes you stay. A catchy song. Fly Me to The Moon (In Other Words) ~2007 Mix~ wasn't that much of an improvement from the cover that was on her Wait and See ~Risk~ Single. The only difference I noticed was the part where she sings Poets. The Single also comes with Karaokes for all the songs. A CD+DVD version would have been useless since the PV's were more AMV's then anything. But I highly recommend this Single.

This is one of my favorites... 5

This single is a lot of fun to listen to. "Beautiful World" is just a gorgeous song--I get chills every time I listen to it. "Kiss & Cry" is a much more upbeat, cheerful number, and Hikaru does a wonderful job with this as well. I haven't heard much positive input for her redo of "Fly Me To The Moon"--apparently it sounds exactly like her previous cover of the song. But I really enjoy it--she pulls it off quite nicely, with a jazzy pop sort of feel to it. This single also includes the instrumental for all three songs, so enjoy! Hikki just keeps getting better--the only complaint I have with this single is that none of the PVs actually showed her. They were just these random clips from the movie that this single was a tie-in for. Oh well, I guess we, as the fans, will just have to make our own!

Pop with substance. Highly recommended. 5

Having never heard of Hikki before this time, I purchased this single because it is part of the soundtrack for the new Evangelion movie. I am most impressed by the quality of her work, which unlike a great deal of pop music these days has quality lyrics and musically interesting arrangements. Her biography on Wikipedia indicates an artist of outstanding talent who has accomplished a great deal at an early age. I will be looking forward to hearing her next album (and catching up on the others which I have missed).

Wow!!!! 5

I wasn't sure what to say at first because the singles just blew me away. I love the music arrangement done in Beautiful World, i thought it was done wonderfully. The up-beat Kiss & Cry has been stuck in my since I first heard it ages ago, but now that i have the discs, I am getting high quality sound. Totally worth it.

Very Good! 5

My first Hikki's single and I'm not disappointed to got it. Both are very rhythmic songs close to R&B but with Hikki's style.

Wonderful! 4

This is a wonderful single. The chorus on Beautiful World is very magical and powerful. Kiss & Cry is a nice beat to dance to! Fly Me To The Moon ~2007 REMIX~ is a nice rendition of the Sinatra classic!

As usual, each Hikki-chan's new single is as good or better than the previous one; No exeption this time, with this great song "Beautifull World" with heart-moving melody and lyrics wich sits perfectly to "Evangelion" world (ending of the last movie "1.0"), and so does the "Fly Me To The Moon -2007 Mix-" reprise, similar to original version but with hikaru's lovely touch. B-side "Kiss & cry" is classic and soft-pop/r'n'b oriented, synthetizer, a good track; Overhall, a great single that you definetely won't regret.

Awesome~ *__* 5

I bought "Ultra Blue" last year and, to tell the truth, I still regret it today. I didn't like the album at all. So, when I heard about Utada's new song, "Beautiful World", I was a bit reluctant to listen to it. But I did listen to it anyway. At first, I didn't like it. Then, I listened to it another time and started liking it. After having listened to it a few times, I started liking it a lot. Then I heard about "Kiss & Cry". I thought the title was very cool, (I'm lame like that) so I listened to it. I told myself that, because "Beautiful World" was awesome, "Kiss & Cry" couldn't be that bad either. Now, to tell the truth, I prefer "Kiss & Cry" a lot more than "Beautiful World". It has a little something that I simply adore. And what I like even more is how different the two songs are. Still, they blend perfectly to give us an awesome single that I definitively do not regret buying ! A quick note about "Fly me to the moon": I have never really liked this song, and still do not like it that much. However, I still rate this single "5" because the two other songs are simply a-w-e-s-o-m-e :]

Good but not excellent 4

''Beautiful World'' is a nice song but it's a perfect mix between ''This Is Love'' and ''Flavor of Life -Original Version-'', ''Kiss & Cry'' is another good song but too slow, the ''Fly Me TO The Moon (In Other Words) -2007-'' is identical to the previous version. If you are a casual listener you like this single for sure, so I give it a 4/5 stars, as an old Hikki fan, I begin to miss her R&B songs. It's from ''COLORS'', in the far 2003, that Hikki releases only melodic songs or ballads, I want something danceble from her, I can't stand anymore this type of songs.
