This is my first album by Japanese new-wave rock group BOOWY, and I must say I'm pretty impressed! From start to finish they keep a high quality on this record. The exploding first song "Dancing in the Pleasure Land" will be sure to lure you in, with Himuro's smooth yet powerful vocals, Hotei's frantic minimalistic guitars and the synth-y plastic-y coating. Other highlights include the hit song "Justy", the epic "Just a Hero" (somehow reminds me of David Bowie's work) and the beautiful closer "Welcome to the Twilight". Though my personal fave is "1994 -Label of Complex" with its playful and tight guitars and instrumentation. I recommend this album to all new BOOWY fans, and to fans of old-school poppy J-Rock.
