On a stage set you wouldn't imagine stocked with amplifiers, with quick constume changes and dance scenes, this release marks a unique performance oriented approach to Ringo Shiina and Tokyo Jihen (Tokyo Incidents)'s live set-up. Is it a concert? Is it a music video? Of course their are pure musical performances as well. Depending on the song, however, you may find yourself watching Ringo Shiina on stage one second, and the next wondering how did she get up there! Only the stage crew knows the truth! Almongst the 22 songs included in the set you'll find a performance of the unreleased new track "Mirrorball" and a cover of the song "C'm'on Let's Go" by the Happy Boys.

I first stumbled upon a clip of this concert on Youtube and immediately fell in love with Shiina and Tokyo Jihen all over again. The musicality of this group is outstanding. Unlike so many bands with idol singers every member gets their chance to shine throughout the show. After many a failed attempt to introduce japanese music to my stuck up Music Major friends this DVD delivered and blew them away. The original song structure, Shiina's the gritty singing, and the huge range of emotions their music is capable of expressing puts them high on my list. The only negative thing I can say is that I agree with Clem in that they do tend to be rather stationary in their performances. Even so, the complexity of the music makes it hard to jump around on stage so I can forgive that.
Great concert of the greatest band in Japan. A must have for people looking for Japanese real original music (in comparison with the average sweet smelling j-pop) ! Shiina Ringo sure is one of the best artists in Japan.
