[AOR誕生40周年記念 AOR CITY 1000] 元祖AORといわれるボズ・スキャッグス『シルク・ディグリーズ』発売40周年 ! 今なお人気が高い70～80年代のAOR作品をお求めやすい「千円」で発売 ! シリーズ監修はLight Mellowで知られる金澤寿和氏。大瀧詠一『A LONG VACATION』で知られるイラスト界の巨匠・永井博氏が本シリーズの共通アートワークを提供。 ◇1938年、ウェストヴァージニア州の小さな炭鉱町で生まれ、軍隊生活の後LAで音楽活動を始める。1971年にデビュー。本作は今やスタンダードと言っても過言でない「ラヴリー・デイ」を筆頭に、良曲がたっぷりと収録された6作目。プロデューサーにクラレンス・マクドナルド、クリフォード・コウルターを迎え、レイ・パーカーJr.(g)、ケニー・バーク(b)、ラス・カンケル(ds)らがバックを固める。この後グローヴァー・ワシントンJr.との共演曲「クリスタルの恋人たち」が大ヒットしブームを巻き起こすも、1985年に突然音楽活動を休止。今もカムバックを望む声が後を絶たない。 ◆期間生産限定盤 (2018年3月31日まで) / AOR誕生40周年記念 / ライナーノーツ / オリジナル発売日: 1977年
