Discover is one of my favourite ELO albums. Got this and Time on Blu Spec CD2. I also have Discover on Blu Spec CD and comparing both formats is the topic of this review. So is the newer format better than the original Blu Spec? Yes, by about 5 to 7%. I noticed a smoothening out of the sound with the treble being less harsh and lower frequencies being full bodied. Blu Spec CD already improved upon the original redbook CD (yes, all three CDs are from the same remaster) by about 7 to 10%, with sharper focus of the voices and instrumentation. Upgrade/get the Blu Spec CD2 if you love this album AND if you have a mid to high end system... otherwise you won't be able to tell the difference.
