I was very pleases with this EP from UnsraW. The introduction actualy did scare me when i first heard it, it sounds like it could be on a horror film's soundtrack. It then goes straight into "BLACK OUT" which is a heavy song with alot of energy. The next song is "Last quarter" which is very emotional and mostly in english (although you cannot tell because most of the lyrics in the booklet are missing for this song), it is very dark and then goes heavier along with very emotional screaming from Yuuki. The next song is "under the skin" which is the heaviest song on the album. There is then a softer song "Enshoku No Yume". The last song is "ALIVE" which is an amazing song and it ends the mini-album perfectly. Buy this while it's still in stock if you're an UnsraW fan.

I was surprised when listening to this EP of Unsraw. I was more or less expecting a similar treatment as on Spiral Circle Complete and Abel/Kein, but instead these songs seems to have "matured" some. Not as much ruthless aggression anymore. Instead, many clean vocal lines and softer parts overall. There is some mean shredding and grunting here and there, but overall I find it to show a more "mature" side of Unsraw, proving that -destruction- is not their only skill. A surprising but satisfying release!
I`m mighty impressed! This mini album is slower but in a way even darker than their first releases. The songs are like a gothic romance and very well composed and we get to hear Yuki`s wonderful singing voice more often. "Introduction" has a wonderful spooky atmosphere. "Enshoku no yume" almost sounds a bit poppy in the beginning, it`s also a very beautiful slow song and just like "Alive", you also sit and wait for Yuki to get going again but he just sings beautifully, giving us something new to hear by singing higher than he usually does. The permanent whispers and the sudden change makes it a very interesting song. "Black out" brings us back Yuki`s screaming, hard riffs and raging drums as we know them from their other songs. "Last Quarter" - I just love the piano, even though it`s just simple it sends shivers down my spine. Yuki`s almost distorted vocals definately do their deed, reminds me of older european gothic bands, great double vocals here and there! - definately my favourite song of this album!!!! They play with typical effects, slow songs and screamy ones, but still it doesn`t seem boring and throughout it all they still preserve that typical UnsraW sound
